LESS PREPARATION – MORE SELF-ORGANIZATION
The cake collective, or rather those of us who have been preparing the cake eating in recent years, have become fewer in number, but on the other hand, the desire to try new approaches has grown. We have also decided to let ourselves be less overwhelmed and overburdened by our own demands and expectations and to focus more on working together, being together, and exchanging ideas this year.
This means that we want to do much less organizational work and preparation. For example, we will not bring in additional infrastructure such as sound systems, lighting equipment, and tables, and we will not organize a bar.
We trust in all of our abilities (to learn) to organize ourselves collectively. We will organize our needs together on site. We hope that this will also free up time and space for more time together and more intensive togetherness, especially for ourselves in the preparation group.
- We will prepare the possibility to cook.
- There will be tarpaulins, tents, and cooking equipment to set up an outdoor kitchen.
- There will be no pre-organized cooking team. We will see on site who wants to cook when, who will do the dishes, who will go shopping, how we will get the money for it, etc.

CARS
- There is a limited number of parking spaces available (preferably for people with limited mobility and for people who want to spend the night in their cars). For others, we recommend looking for parking in the surrounding area (Melchiorstrasse or Eymatt).
- The road through the forest to the Wagenplatz is a no-driving zone, so we ask that you drive at walking speed so as not to frighten pedestrians and strollers, and keep driving to a minimum.

CONTACT AND DIRECTIONS
- You can reach the Bethlehem/Queer Wogenau wagon site by taking the No. 101 post bus from Bern train station to the Melchiorstrasse stop. Cross the crosswalk behind the bus, turn into Melchiorstrasse, follow Melchiorstrasse until you see the red bicycle path sign for Eymatt at the first bend, follow this red sign into the forest, After a short stretch of dirt road, you will come to an asphalt road. Turn right onto this road and cross the motorway bridge. After the motorway bridge, continue straight ahead along the asphalt road, take the third turn-off to the left (this is just before the road descends relatively steeply) and then turn right into a clearing. There you will see the first trailers. Walk past these trailers to the pizza oven and follow the small path to the right.
- During the weekend, the number ++41 77 443 26 39 is available during the day (e.g. for people who can’t find their way to Wogenau… 🙂
